Bionet Mainstream EtCO₂ Sensor

EtCO2 Monitoring Module

The Bionet Mainstream EtCO₂ Sensor provides continuous measurement of end-tidal CO₂, inspired CO₂, and respiration rate directly at the patient’s airway. Its fast response and compact, lightweight design make it suitable for monitoring veterinary patients during anesthesia, surgery, recovery, and critical care.

The sensor uses dual-wavelength, non-dispersive infrared technology with no moving parts. A capnogram is displayed in less than four seconds, allowing clinicians to quickly assess ventilation and confirm airway status. The heated probe helps reduce condensation inside the airway adapter for more consistent monitoring.

The Bionet Mainstream EtCO₂ Sensor is compatible with Bionet Brio XVet Series and BM Elite Series patient monitors.

Key Features

  • Mainstream CO₂ measurement directly at the airway
  • Continuous EtCO₂, inspired CO₂, respiration-rate, and capnogram monitoring
  • Capnogram displayed in less than four seconds
  • 100 Hz sampling rate
  • Anesthetic agent compensation (selectable)
  • Respiration-rate range of 3 to 150 breaths per minute
  • Compatible with adult and neonatal airway adapters
  • Heated probe helps prevent condensation
  • Lightweight sensor with a 102-inch cable
  • Two-year warranty

Setup and Zero Calibration

The Bionet Mainstream EtCO₂ Sensor does not require routine gas calibration. However, an adapter-zero procedure is recommended before patient use.

For the most reliable results, connect the sensor and allow it to warm up for five minutes before performing the zero-calibration procedure. Complete the procedure with the appropriate airway adapter installed and exposed to room air. Do not perform zero calibration while the adapter is connected to the patient or breathing circuit.
